About Us ...

Originally from 'Up North', we moved to Norfolk 12 years ago.
 
It was always our dream to own and run a country pub and, after running two other successful small businesses, we bought the Dog & Partridge.
 
The pub had been closed for almost five years and, after much renovation work, we re-opened in July 2006.
 
Five years on and we love it as much today as we did when we first saw the pub.
 
Ours is a traditional country pub where 'proper pub people' generate the sort of atmosphere that is sadly disappearing in many other pubs.
 
We are lucky to have a loyal bunch of 'regulars' who go out of their way to help, and be friendly towards, anybody that walks through our door.
 
All of them have lots of tales to tell you about life in the countryside and about how a real pub should be!
 
Please remember, ours is definitely not a 'fast food' or 'pub chain' operation.
 
When you join us, whether to dine or just for a few drinks, our aim is for you to have an enjoyable and relaxed time drinking good beer and eating wholesome food.
