THE COVEY THE COVEY

Welcome to

THE COVEY
"a small flock or family/brood of birds, especially partridges or quail"

(Middle English, from Old French covee, 'brood', from feminine past participle of cover, 'to incubate', from Latin cubre, 'to lie down')

The Dining Room was refurbished over the winter of 2009/10 to introduce a more relaxed and leisurely atmosphere for your dining experience.

Your table is yours for the evening so that you can sit back and relax.

We aim to bring you homemade fayre with as much local and seasonal produce as possible.

Our main menu consists of our most popular dishes.

'Specials' are also available, as shown on the blackboards.

In time, 'Specials' that prove to be very popular will be added to our main menu.

As part of the refurbishment, we asked our 'regulars' to suggest ideas for a new name for the Dining Room.

Sam Green is a local lad with a special connection with shooting.

Not only is his dad the Gamekeeper on a local estate but Sam is a national and international championship winner at Clay-Pigeon Shooting.

Sam is able to represent his country at both Junior and Senior levels.

Sam is the current Junior World Champion.

His suggestion of

THE COVEY

just seemed right straightaway.

If you're interested in helping Sam, through Sponsorship, to continue to represent his country then please speak to Karen.
